Season’s Greetings!
The lyrics from a famous Christmas song are, “Do you hear what I hear? Do you see what I see?” Each time that is played, we think about what Jesus hears and sees. Do we see and hear through the eyes of Jesus? Do we hear the cry of orphans around the world? Do we feel the pain of widows this time of year? Are we aware how many infants have been aborted this year and years past and will not celebrate this Christmas with their family? Perhaps it’s time to pay attention to what He sees and hears—and join in the battle!
The countries we work in are on the front lines of spiritual warfare. This time of year is no different from any other. Those we partner with take one day at a time. They trust in God for all things. We make an effort to bless them above what we normally do monthly at Christmas, because they make an effort to reach out to their communities and share the story of Christ’s birth and the Reason for the Season. Here’s what’s taking place:
Nepal – We will once again be helping Paul and Bhawana purchase blankets, warm caps, shoes and some jackets for $5 each. These will be given to widows and children who live on the street, slums and mountain villages. A good meal is included.
Myanmar – All 13 orphanages in the Love Children Home network will host a Christmas celebration and give the orphans a good meal and gifts.
Andaman Islands – Raja and Sheeba continue their tradition of renting a truck and traveling to outlying islands sharing the story of Christ’s birth. They will bless the children and widows with gifts. They’ll host a Christmas celebration at the orphanage for local villagers providing food and gifts. A television program is being produced to share the story of Christ’s birth with almost one million Hindu viewers.
Kenya – Our friends in Kenya will again provide school bags filled with supplies for children who return to school the first week of January.
Cuba – Manuel and staff will host several kids’ Christmas outreaches throughout the island. They provide food, candy, and small gifts to those who attend.

FROM THE MISSION FIELD
NEPAL
Paul and Bhuwana opened a slum school in Nepal. Morning and evening classes are held here for the street children. They feed the kids a great meal of chicken and rice, provide them with notebooks, improve their education, provide emotional support, and even bandage their wounds. Paul and Bhawana share the heart of Jesus with people who are desperate for His love.
BELIZE
In 1996, I attended Texas Bible Institute, where I met Jervis and Melissa, a young couple with a dream to start an orphanage in Jervis’s home country of Belize. God has blessed them with a beautiful orphanage, where they love children who come from challenging situations. The dream for Going Global Inc. began in Belize, and I’m thrilled to announce that we are now working here again. The sky is the limit here. Laugh Out Loud Ministry in Belize is an orphanage, church, educational and life skills development center, developer of Tiny Homes where orphanage graduates learn to care for a home, pay bills, cook, clean, work, and build a family. We look forward to more connection with Jervis and Melissa in the days to come.
