Nepal Trip Report

Each year, thanks to your generosity, we join our ministry partners during the Christmas season to provide gifts, a warm meal, and outreach activities where we share the gospel message with tens of thousands of people.

Three of us traveled to Nepal to represent you, our Going Global Inc. family. We began our visit in Kathmandu and then traveled to villages in the mountain area. The mountain roads were narrow, rough, hilly and dangerous. We prayed!  These roads led us to incredible places and people that Paul and his team faithfully serve on a regular basis.

God moved powerfully during our ministry trip, and here are a few highlights:

  • 1600 adults ministered to and given a warm meal.

  • 800 children ministered to and given a warm meal.

  • 2 physical miracles, and many sick people were prayed for.

  • 7 different outreaches held through our local church network in Nepal.

  • 35 pastors and ministry leaders encouraged and joined us in ministry and lunch meetings.

  • 500 hygiene kits distributed.

  • 950 blankets given as Christmas gifts to children and widows!

Talk about an incredible ministry trip!

What really moved us was seeing the ministry and team that Paul and Bhawana lead in Nepal. They now have 7 schools that they run in slum and village areas. For years, they have been called Slum Schools, but during our trip, Paul was moved to give them a name that would give the children more dignity, worth, and hope—they are now called Bridge Schools. These are places of safety, hope, and love—where the kids receive help with school, food, clean water, counseling, rescue from human trafficking, and discipleship. The seven Bridge Schools are in partnership with local churches, where Paul mentors the pastors and trains and develops children and youth ministry.

Grateful for you,

Paulsang’s Testimony

In the heart of the difficult slums of Kathmandu, a beautiful story of redemption is happening through the life of Paulsang, a pastor whose journey from the depths of despair is now a beacon of hope.

Paulsang's early years were marked by hardship, growing up in a destitute family with a father that abused drugs and alcohol. At the tender age of 7, he found himself navigating the harsh reality of life on the streets, entangled in the world of drugs, crime, and homelessness.

This painful chapter persisted until the age of 23 when hope appeared and Paulsang surrendered his life to Christ. However, the path to faith was filled with challenges, and his struggle persisted. It was during this period that God's goodness continued to reveal itself, leading Paulsang to a pivotal relationionship with Bhindu, a ministry leader who works alongside Paul and Bhawana in the slums of Kathmandu.

Bhindu began to pray for and encourage Paulsang. Through the love of Jesus, Paulsang experienced a radical transformation that not only mended the broken pieces of his past but also laid the foundation for a future of purpose. Today, they stand together as husband and wife and pastors, serving two different slums in Kathmandu. Bhindu leads the Bridge School, a haven for children in the slums, providing them with education, food, clean water, counseling, protection from human trafficking, and, most importantly, the message of hope found in Jesus Christ.

When asked if they would choose to live outside the challenging slums if given the opportunity, their answer echoed their commitment to their divine calling. "No," they answered, "we are called to the slums. It's here we can extend God's love to a young girl abused at midnight hour. By living among God's people in the slums, we can serve them with His love."

We are honored to work alongside our ministry partners in Nepal. Thank you for praying and investing into pastors in remote areas.

Food For Thought

“What you learn from them (father and mother) will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.” Proverbs 1:9

Solomon is teaching about wisdom. Here he is encouraging us to pay attention to what our father and mother say to us. We can learn a great amount from their experiences. Never be too proud to listen to them.
