The Right Mission + The Right Enemy = Revival

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Several weeks ago, my Pastor shared a message titled “The Right Mission & The Right Enemy.” Pastor Peter Haas gave a formula in the sermon that has had a huge impact in my life.

The Right Mission + The Right Enemy = Revival

What is the right mission? The right mission for us is to be on Jesus’ mission, which is to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). Who is the right enemy? The right enemy is the Devil, because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).

When we get this right in our lives, then revival is experienced. The revival I am praying for is healing in families, healing in physical bodies, healing in relationships, salvation for those who don’t know Jesus, and transformation of communities and nations. Jesus was always refocusing people on the mission of evangelism. The mission that we tend to focus on is fighting this battle and that battle, but helping people experience God is the right mission. The enemy we often focus on is this person vs. that person, this solution vs. that situation, this opinion vs. that controversy, but there is really only one enemy—the Devil.

This is one of the things I love about the opportunity we have at Going Global Inc. Our ministry goal is that eyes would be opened to recognize Jesus (Luke 24:31), this keeps my mission on people experiencing Jesus. A few weeks ago, I was feeling burdened with a situation in my life, and the weight felt heavy for several days. After hearing this message, I felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to refocus my mission on evangelism and my battle to the real enemy, the Devil. What I experienced was revival in my own heart. God gave me the solution to my heavy heart—to be on His mission, evangelism. For me, this looked like a conference in Kenya, and I think God has a solution for what you’re facing too.

GLOBAL ROUND TABLE – KITALE, KENYA

We held our first conference at Upper Room Church in Kitale, Kenya. Your investment into Going Global Inc. made it possible to purchase sound and video equipment, internet streaming expenses and equipment, and all expenses of those attending in Kenya. Pastors and leaders from extremely poor villages came to be encouraged, trained, equipped, cared for, and loved on. They are now being sent back into their villages, full of passion and the power of the Holy Spirit to seek and save the lost.

More conferences are being planned in many of the nations we work in. We are trusting God for revival!

God has been so faithful and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the days ahead. Would you prayerfully consider joining with me with monthly financial support of my ministry with Going Global Inc.? Together, we have the opportunity to preach good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. I would be honored to have you join me!

Love in Christ,

Bob Gustafson

FROM THE MISSION FIELD

PROTESTS IN MYANMAR

Peaceful protests for democracy
Clashes between the military and protesters

Protests have been going on in Myanmar since February 1, 2021, when Aung San Suu Kyi and several leaders of the political party were arrested. The military government has taken control, but the people in Myanmar protest as they desire democracy.

Many people have been injured, lost lives, lost homes, and been arrested. Getting rice, food, or even going to the bank can take 8 hours. Prices have increased with some items and the already struggling economy is now in more dire condition.

We are in regular communication with our ministry partners, and they have reported that they are safe. They ask for your prayer. One of our leaders communicated that 400 children and all the leaders are on his shoulders, so his prayer is that he would have wisdom to lead in this difficult time in Myanmar.

PRAYER REQUESTS

James 5:16 declares, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Your intercession for Going Global Inc. and our family is powerful. How you can pray for us:

  • Pray for our new president.

  • Pray for your church and your pastors.

  • Pray for Paul in Nepal, he has been traveling into the mountains to share Jesus in very remote areas.

  • Pray for me and my family, that we’d experience God’s continued work in our lives.
